Soakaway Crates
In Britain, Soakaway Crates are now the primary technique for disposing of surface water. Our Rainsmart plastic soakaway crates are available in a variety of shapes, sizes, and weight ratings, either fully assembled or flat-packed for on-site construction. Our Polydrain Hydrocell crates are another great fully-assembled option. If a shallow dig soakaway crate is necessary, we offer these as an option; this can be perfect if your property is located in an area where the water table is higher than typical.
Stormwater is diluted and purified using garden soakaway crates. They also assist in replenishing groundwater and enhancing soil moisture, which may lessen the problems brought on by low river flows.
Rainsmart systems have load ratings of up to 85 tonnes vertically and an industry-leading 18 tonnes horizontally, making them suitable for all applications including infiltration, attenuation (controlled discharge), and retention.
Rainsmart soakaway crates have a unique design that allows them to be built together in a single, shallow layer while holding the same amount of stormwater as a typical 1-cubic-meter soakaway.
Polydrain Hydrocell soakaway crates have a tonne loading of up to 62 tonnes an impressive storage volume of 950 litres per cubic metre.
